The DAV (Dayanand Anglo Vedic) Movement honors and continues the legacy of one of the greatest social and religious reformers, Maharshi Dayanand Saraswati. Born in the 19th century, at a time when Hindu society had lost touch with its rich spiritual and cultural heritage, Maharshi Dayanand challenged the widespread ignorance and superstition that had taken root. He confronted false beliefs, meaningless rituals, and harmful practices such as untouchability, child marriage, and the mistreatment of women, with a vision to restore intellectual clarity and social justice. 764
