About Maharani Gayatri Devi Girls school
Maharani Gayatri Devi Girls School (MGD), founded on 4th July 1943 by Her Highness Maharani Gayatri Devi, holds the distinction of being Indias first public school for girls. Fondly known as MGD, the institution has earned a distinguished reputation for its commitment to academic excellence and holistic development. Located in the heart of Jaipur, Rajasthan, MGD welcomes students from across India and abroad. The school is affiliated with the CBSE and also offers the Cambridge International Examinations curriculum. It has a vibrant community of over 2400 day scholars and day boarders, along with 300 boarders residing on campus. Day boarding begins from Class VI, while boarders are admitted from Class I onwards, staying in five beautifully designed boarding houses – Lillian Hurst, Ashiana, Deepshikha, Maharani Indira Devi Bhawan, and Rani Vidya Devi Bhawan – each catering to different age groups.
