About Delhi Public School, Bhilai
DPS Bhilai is one of the satellite schools in the network of institutions managed by The Delhi Public School Society, New Delhi, a non-profit organization committed to promoting quality education both in India and abroad. Established on August 20, 1985, in collaboration with the public sector enterprise Bhilai Steel Plant (SAIL), the school began with 204 students in classes VI-IX. SAIL provided the land (16 acres) and offered assistance in various areas during the schools inception. Over the years, the DPS Society, New Delhi, and the BSP management have consistently provided valuable guidance and support. Today, the school has grown significantly, with a current enrollment of 5,382 students from Nursery to Class XII, supported by a dedicated staff of 190 teachers. The school is affiliated with the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), New Delhi.
