JSS Academy of Higher Education & Research (JSS AHER), formerly known as JSS University, is a Deemed-to-be University located in Mysuru, Karnataka. Established in 2008 under Section 3 of the UGC Act, 1956, it operates under the esteemed JSS Mahavidyapeetha, which manages a wide range of educational institutions. The University is recognized by the Ministry of Education, accredited by NAAC with an A++ Grade (3.61 CGPA), and has been classified as a Category-I Deemed-to-be University by the UGC. Since its inception, JSS AHER has been deeply committed to teaching, research, and health services. Guided by the patronage and blessings of His Holiness Jagadguru Sri Shivarathri Deshikendra Mahaswamiji, Chancellor of JSS AHER, and under the visionary leadership of Pro-Chancellor Dr. B. Suresh, a distinguished academician and leader, along with Vice Chancellor Dr. H. Basavanagowdappa, an accomplished administrator, the university has achieved remarkable growth.
