About Khongnangthaba University
Khongnangthaba University was born from a powerful visionβan aspiration to create a center of knowledge, innovation, and cultural preservation. Established as the first private university under the Manipur Private University Act of 2021 and recognized under Section 2(f) of the UGC Act 1956, the university is authorized to confer degrees under Section 22. More than an academic institution, it stands as a tribute to Lourembam Khongnangthaba, symbolizing hope and progress in Manipurβs evolving educational landscape. With a strong commitment to research and excellence, the university welcomed 26 PhD scholars in the 2022β23 academic year and 32 scholars in 2023β24, each contributing to diverse fields of study and expanding the frontiers of knowledge. 1347
