About CUET UG 2026
The National Testing Agency will release the CUET 2026 exam city intimation slip in April. The CUET UG 2026 examination will be held tentatively from May 11 to 31. What is the CUET UG Exam?
CUET is a common entrance exam conducted by the National Testing Agency. The exam is held in online mode for 37 subjects. Through this single entrance examination, aspirants get a chance to apply for 47 central universities and more than 300 universities and colleges across the country based on their CUET UG results. Creating an APAAR ID allows verification of candidate identity through a secure lifelong digital ID.
Is the CUET Exam Online or Offline?
The CUET is completely conducted in online mode as a Computer Based Test (CBT). This simplifies the exam process and eliminates inconveniences caused by offline exams such as paper printing, logistics, and human error while filling answer sheets.
CUET 2026 Admission Process
The admission process consists of five stages starting from the application form to counselling:
- Application Form: Activated on January 3, 2026.
- CUET Exam 2026: Conducted in CBT mode across 379 cities in India and 26 cities outside India.
- Answer Key: Released in provisional and final stages with an objection facility.
- Result: Declared after final answer key, including normalised marks and percentile.
- Counselling: Conducted separately by participating universities.
