About Anand Agricultural University

Anand Agricultural University (AAU) was established on April 29, 2004, at Anand, Gujarat, under Act No. Guj 5 of 2004, carved out of the erstwhile Gujarat Agricultural University. Inspired by Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel and Dr. K. M. Munshi, AAU supports the farming community through education, research, and extension in Agriculture, Horticulture, Engineering, Product Processing, and Home Science. AAU has seven colleges, 17 research centers, and six extension institutes across nine districts. Its programs cover crops, animal breeding, dairy, soil health, bio-diesel, and medicinal plants. The universitys mission is to promote sustainable rural development, empower farmers, and foster economic independence through education, research, and community engagement. 1676
