About Jawaharlal Nehru Architecture and Fine Arts University
Jawaharlal Nehru Architecture and Fine Arts University (JNAFAU) was established by Act No. 31 of 2008 by the Andhra Pradesh State Legislature to provide systematic education in art and architecture. Headquartered at Mahavir Marg, Masab Tank, Hyderabad, it is the first specialized university of its kind in India, focusing on fine arts and the built environment. JNAFAU offers traditional disciplines such as architecture, painting, sculpture, applied art, and photography, while also introducing new departments in response to technological and societal developments, including urban and regional planning, facilities and services planning, interior design, animation, and digital techniques, catering to the evolving creative needs of society. 1734
