About National Sports University
National Sports University, Manipur, was established in 2018 to train professionals who can inspire and coach the next generation in sports. Currently, it operates from a temporary campus at the Khuman Lampak Sports Complex in Imphal. The foundation stone for its proposed 325-acre permanent campus at Imphal West was laid on 16th March 2018 by the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi. The event was attended by Dr Najima Heptulla, Governor of Manipur, and Col Rajyavardhan Rathore, Minister of State for Youth Affairs and Sports.
