About Siddhartha Academy of Higher Education

Sri Siddhartha Academy of Higher Education (SSAHE), declared a Deemed-to-be University under Section 3 of the UGC Act, 1956, was established through the Government of India’s MHRD notification No. F.9-31/2006-U.3(A) dated 30 May 2008. Since 1 June 2008, Sri Siddhartha Medical College and Sri Siddhartha Dental College have been functioning as its constituent institutions. Further, through the Government of India notification No. F.9-31/2006-U.3(A) dated 16 December 2008, the UGC included Sri Siddhartha Institute of Technology, Maralur, Tumkur, as an off-campus constituent teaching unit of SSAHE, effective from 6 March 2009. At SSAHE, the vision extends beyond conventional education. The University strives to prepare students for life by nurturing a mindset of continuous learning.
