Kuvempu University, Shankaraghatta, was established in 1987, and it has been recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC). The Kuvempu University has been accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with an A grade. Kuvempu University offers multiple specialisation courses at three different levels of programmes. Kuvempu University courses are offered in full-time and online modes. Kuvempu University offers courses in the streams of�science, arts, humanities and social sciences, management and business administration, commerce, education, media, mass communication and journalism, computer application and IT.�Kuvempu University courses include BBA , B.Com, B.P.Ed , BA, MA, M.Sc , M.Phil, MBA, PGD, M.Com , M.P.Ed, MSW ,�M.Lib.I.Sc, MCA, M.P.Ed and PhD . Kuvempu University admissions are offered based on the performance of the candidate in the entrance examination conducted by the university. For MBA and MCA programmes, candidates qualifying for Karnataka PGECET are exempted from the entrance examination. Kuvempu University admissions are done based on he scores obtained in the entrance exam and past academic performance. Candidates qualifying for UGC- NET , SLET or M.Phil are also exempted from the entrance examination. Kuvempu University facilities include hostels, medical facilities, a gym, a library, sports, a cafeteria, an auditorium, wifi, laboratories, a guest room and many more. Kuvempu University scholarship includes Fellowship, Grants, Fee Reimbursement, and tuition fee waiver for students belonging to OBC and SC/ST categories. Students must submit all the required documents along with the application form, such as a caste certificate, income certificate, study/bonafide certificate, previous year's card pass, and minority certificate.
