Devamatha Arts and Science College, Paisakary, is one of the premier colleges of the country which came into existence in the year 2003. This affiliated college established is situated in Kannur, Kerala and has been preparing young generation for almost two decades. This college has Jetstream Catalog which provides 11 courses in seven degree programmes for students to pursue careers in different colleges. The college is housed with a committed team of faculty members, including 32 members, and this makes the college offer quality education to its students as well as paying individual attention to each student. Achievements in academic programmes are evident as the college has an ambitious curriculum and well equipped facilities. The premises of Devamatha Arts and Science College is well furnished with basic infrastructural facilities to meet the studentsοΏ½ academic as well as other needs. The college has a library service with adequate number of textbooks and other relevant materials, general books, stake holder national and international journals to support the studentsοΏ½ study needs. For the lovers of technology, the college provides two computerised laboratories with fifty computers all of which are linked to the Internet. These labs are employed efficiently by BCA and B.Com CA students but they are open for others to use them in their learning needs. The college also provides well equipped laboratories for the science students to do experiments as per syllabi of the college. The courses offered at Devamatha Arts and Science College include various programmes to meet the course specializations of its students. It offers 11 programmes, of which five at the undergraduate and one at post graduate level. These courses cut across Arts, Science, Commerce and Computer Applications faculties. All the courses that are offered are standard full time programmes to guarantee students provision of appropriate education in their chosen disciplines. It provide common undergraduate courses such as B.Sc in Physics , Chemistry and Mathematics, B.A in English with Journalism, B.Com with many options and streams, BBA, BCA etc. The college offers postgraduate programmes for those interested in further studies such as Master of Commerce in Finance and Master of Arts in English. The admission at Devamatha Arts and Science College is centralised with student getting admitted according to their performance in the previous qualifying examination. Extra weight is awarded according to the Kannur University norms for providing equal consideration to the students seeking admission in the concerned programmes.
