About Agriculture University
Agriculture University, Jodhpur, established on 14 September 2013 under Act 21 of 2013, focuses on the development of arid and semi-arid regions of Rajasthan. Its jurisdiction covers six districts Jodhpur, Barmer, Nagaur, Pali, Jalore, and Sirohi, representing 28 percent of the state’s area and supporting significant human and livestock populations. The university includes one diploma institute, three colleges, two agricultural research stations, and three sub-stations across major agro-ecological zones. Through six Krishi Vigyan Kendras, it delivers advanced technologies to farmers. With integrated teaching, research, and extension activities coordinated from its Mandor headquarters, the university aims to strengthen agriculture and allied sciences in this water-scarce yet biodiverse region. 1666
