About Central University of Jharkhand ranchi
The President of India approved the Central Universities Act 2009 to establish universities focused on high quality teaching and research across different states. Under this Act, the Central University of Jharkhand was founded on 1 March 2009. The Visitor of the university Her Excellency Smt Pratibha Devisingh Patil appointed Dr Darlando T Khathing, an internationally renowned scientist and distinguished academic administrator, as the first Vice Chancellor. The university is dedicated to advancing research and innovation in cutting edge technologies. 1591
