About Babu Dinesh Singh University
Babu Dinesh Singh University was established on 17 February 2023 following a notification by the Government of Jharkhand, published in the Jharkhand Gazette (Vide No. 94, Ranchi). The university was created through the Babu Dinesh Singh University Act, 2022 (Jharkhand Act No. 06, 2023), which was passed by the Jharkhand Assembly and approved by the Hon’ble Governor on 14 February 2023. It is also a proud member of the Association of Indian Universities (AIU). Located on NH-75 in Garhwa, Jharkhand, the university boasts a lush green campus spread across more than 100 acres with world-class infrastructure and facilities. Several well-established colleges operate under the Vananchal Educational Welfare & Trust, the sponsoring body of the university. These include Vananchal Dental College & Hospital, Vananchal College of Nursing, Vananchal School of Nursing, Devki Mahaveer Homeopathy Medical College & Research Hospital, Dinesh College of Education, Vananchal College of Science, and the Department of Pharmacy. These institutions have been serving the region for over sixteen years, offering undergraduate and postgraduate programs accredited by NAAC, and are known for their commitment to academic excellence and professional education. 1174
