About Central University of Kashmir
The Central University of Jammu and Kashmir was established in 2009 along with 15 other Central Universities through an Act of Parliament. It was later bifurcated into two separate institutions: the Central University of Kashmir and the Central University of Jammu. This division enabled both universities to focus on delivering quality higher education, research opportunities and regional development. 1590
