About Cluster University of Srinagar
To reduce the burden on overpopulated State Universities, the government initiated the creation of Cluster Universities. These universities are formed by combining four to five existing colleges located nearby. The development of infrastructure for Cluster Universities is supported and funded through the Rashtriya Uchchattar Shiksha Abhiyan (RUSA) scheme under the Ministry of Human Resources and Development (MHRD). 1647
