About Central University of Punjab
The Central University of Punjab, established in 2009 under the Central Universities Act, has grown rapidly since its inception. Accredited with an A+ grade by NAAC in 2023, the university has consistently ranked in the NIRF top 100, earning recognition for high per-capita research funding. With a mission to offer strong instructional and research facilities across disciplines, it promotes innovation, new technologies, and skill-focused learning. Starting from a small camp office, the university now operates on a 500-acre eco-friendly campus at Ghudda village. It has 31 departments and 11 schools offering PG and PhD programs. The university actively encourages research, entrepreneurship, sports, cultural activities, and community engagement while maintaining a plastic-free, environmentally responsible campus.
