About Madanapalle Institute of Technology & Science (MITS)
Madanapalle Institute of Technology and Science (MITS) was established in 1998 amid the scenic and serene surroundings of Madanapalle. Spread across 26.17 acres, the institute is strategically located along the Madanapalle–Anantapur Highway (NH-205), near Angallu, just 10 km from Madanapalle. MITS was founded under the Ratakonda Ranga Reddy Educational Academy by the late Sri N. Krishna Kumar, M.S. (U.S.A.), and guided by the visionary leadership of Dr. N. Vijaya Bhaskar Choudary, Ph.D. With 27 years of academic excellence, MITS has earned NAAC A+ accreditation and NBA recognition for its programs. Acknowledging its academic standards, infrastructure, and contributions to higher education, the Government of India has granted MITS the status of a Deemed-to-be University under Section 3 of the UGC Act, 1956, as per Notification No. 9-1/2025-U.3(A) dated 15th July 2025. MITS Deemed-to-be University is now led by the visionary Chancellor, Dr. N. Vijaya Bhaskar Choudary. With a commitment to redefining education at global standards, the University continues to advance with clear strategies, innovative approaches, and a forward-thinking vision.
